‘Joyful Noise’ Private screening with Valencia Barnes @ValBarnes98

I had a wonderful opportunity to attend the packed to the max private screening for Joyful Noise. As I got into work mode I had a chance to meet Valencia Barnes, an actress in the children’s choir. What we didn’t tell you is this accomplished young lady also does social media for Alex’s Lemonade Stand, a popular foundation that raises money to fight childhood cancer.  During my time at St. Johns (whoop whoop) a few organizations I was involved with also raised money for this cool foundation.  Definitely check it out.. and check out what @ValBarnes98 had to say about Joyful Noise:

Three generations of beautiful women celebrated Valencia Barnes’ movie debut.

A joyful noise was made at the first private screening in Atlanta for the Warner Brother’s production Joyful Noise starring Queen Latifah, Keke Palmer and Dolly Parton. The smiling faces of families, friends, and media waited anxiously in line hours before the premiere while sweatshirts and movie posters were given out to the first moviegoers.

Valencia Barnes, a 13-year-old actress who played a role in the youth choir, shared her experiences being in her first movie role while her proud mother and grandmother listened in. Valencia was extremely excited and proud of the cast and inspired by the industry veterans who played a role in the film

Released in theaters on Jan. 13, 2012, Joyful Noise grossed over $11 million in its opening weekend.

The national screening was produced by Liquid Soul Media and sponsored by rolling out and BlackAtlas.com.
