Do You Believe in Artists’ Unity?
Remember back in the days when more than one major act would tour together? When three of your favorite artist would release an album on the same day? Remember the good ol days?
Artist unity use to be a driving force of the industry. From Diva Duets like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, to Pop Star performances like N’Sync and Britney Spears, those moments use to define the music industry. And those are just moments that have occurred during my lifetime, lets not count the countless moments that happened before 1989.
What if we did live in the world of team such and such, or squad blah blah or this hive, these angels, and these stars, what if artist urged their audiences to just be fans? Fans of music, not depending on who makes it but how they make it.
The industry wants to blame piracy for low sales, but when you feel like you have to pledge alliance to one artist flag, what are you suppose to do? When you feel like you will get beat with a stick Jackson style if you purchase the album of your favorites rivalry how can you effectively support the industry as a whole?
If artist and labels would allow for promotional trails and fan involvement to be cohesive, it could honestly help change the state of the industry. If you as a fan didn’t feel bad about purchasing two or three albums per release date sales would increase.
Artist need to stop this innocent rivalry shit.
Lets act like artist don’t do it. Lets stop this team, squad stuff. Lets be on team music. Lets have mega star tours again. Lets have 3 of our favorite artist release albums on the same day. Let artist support each other.
Because how can artist and labels expect fans to support artist, when they don’t support themselves?
