Blac Elvis Honored at Writing Sessions America VIP Event For His Community Efforts

Last weekend, Writing Sessions America hosted an awesome VIP reception at Carizma Lounge (ATL) where For the People By the People Presented Grammy Award Winning Producer, Blac Elvis, with the Challenging Minds Award for his efforts in the community.

The event kicked off after Blac Elvis, Lonnie Deadwyler, and their Mars on Sunday artist, Chris Scholar and friends entered the building after photos and interviews on the red carpet.  Kevin Shine (A&R for Arrow Records, Director of Writing Sessions America under his company the F.I.R.M. . I know that’s a lot, and there’s more) opened up the event and gave a great presentation to the crowd of ‘Who is Blac Elvis‘.  Kevin delved deep into Blac Elvis’ long list of crowd favorites as the crowd sang in unison and danced in their personal space.  Lonnie Deadwyler of Mars on Sunday said a few words, and Keiza Williams gave an eloquent speech about all of the amazing things Blac Elvis was doing in his hometown, Memphis, Tennessee.  While others wait until November and December to send the paps out to take pictures of them with their turkeys, Blac Elvis is involved with the youth community and less fortunate families on an constant basis through the Elvis L. Williams Sr. Foundation

An announcement was also made that the non-profit will be partnering with For the People By The People non-profit.  Take a look at pictures from the event and the red carpet courtesy of D. Divine Photos. Below is also the Who Is Blac Elvis Video from Kevin Shine’s speech.
